In order to improve combat survivability and maximum diving depth of German submarines, the new VIIC types were fitted with a thicker and stronger hull. Started in 1943, they were used until the end of the Second World War. 88 VIICs were built until 1945.
The U-Boat Type VIIC kit is here accompanied by two "Biber" (Beavers), two small pocket submarines transported by the VII C.
